David Coupe, is an international insurance lawyer with over 40 years of experience globally. Renowned for his expertise, he has supported over 80 MGA startups, guiding them through complex legal and regulatory landscapes. He was a co-founder of the Managing General Agents Association (MGAA) and remains a board member. He chairs the MGAA’s Legal and Compliance Committee, shaping industry standards. His strategic counsel ensures robust compliance and fosters innovation in the insurance sector. David’s unparalleled knowledge and leadership drive success for MGAs, cementing his reputation as a trusted legal authority in insurance.

Yvette, is a former Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of a motor insurance startup. While at that company, she spearheaded strategy, operations, fundraising, business development, and navigated the regulatory landscape for a Managing General Agent (MGA).
With a background in investment banking, Yvette has worked in both corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions. She was part of the Technology M&A team at Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, and Goldman Sachs. She was also a Co-founder & Director of Calvert Percival Executive Search, a boutique financial services executive search firm. Her leadership, management expertise, and strategic vision will help to transform Magellan from an early stage, startup to a national UK motor insurance brand.

Stephen, with 30 years in UK insurance, is an expert in pricing, risk, and data analytics. Formerly Chief Underwriting Officer at an insurance startup, he was Head of Innovation at LV General Insurance and Head of Broker Motor Pricing. Stephen utilises data driven risk assessment models, enhancing premium pricing and risk selection accuracy. His career includes roles at Zurich Insurance, Highway Insurance, and Lloyd’s syndicates, covering product management, data science, and demand modeling. His drives innovation, leveraging data to transform underwriting processes, ensuring precise risk evaluation and competitive pricing in the evolving insurance landscape.
